Welcome to Who's Who at TheWholeNote.com

Here at TheWholeNote.com,  we connect readers to performed music they may be interested in, in all the areas we cover and in as many ways as we can: through our Live Listings (updated weekly); through our Recording Reviews and Listening Room; through our editorial coverage (in print, on our blog, and in HalfTones, our regular e-letter); through supplemental display advertising (in print and online) relevant to the interests of our readership; and through our social media: facebook.com/thewholenote, twitter.com/thewholenote and instagram.com/the_wholenote.

Who’sWho [at] TheWholeNote.com supports all this with the following  Reader Resources:

THE BLUE PAGES directory of music makers is a  rich resource for musicians and all lovers of live music. Detailed profiles, in their own words, from a wide range of Ontario music makers, presenters and venues, reflect who they are and what they do, and their upcoming planned activity. Updated regularly as memberships come in, with the fall months (September through December) generally the busiest.

THE CANARY PAGES is The WholeNote’s guide to the extraordinary choral diversity of Southern Ontario, with profiles of vocal ensembles and choirs, focusing on such elements as personnel, repertoire, criteria to join and opportunities to perform. An invaluable resource for anyone seeking a choir or choral community to become part of. Updated regularly: with heaviest activity usually in March, April and May when choirs set their sights on the fall, in terms of musical plans and recruitment.

THE GREEN PAGES is our guide to summer music festivals and presenters.Information usually mounts over the course of the spring and early summer, as festival websites roll over from one summer to the next. Profiles are updated seasonally, as the information comes in, with most updates normally coming in between April and early June.

The SUMMER MUSIC EDUCATION section of our GREEN PAGES,  in order to accommodate programs with widely different application dates is open to directory membership year round and updated accordingly. Generally covering a wide range of summer camps, programs and and other offerings for all ages and levels of musical skill, February, March and April tend to be the busiest months for updates and membership requests.
